[if !supportLists]1. [endif]Start thinking about your subject combination. Don’t wait till you have to submit your subject application — you’ll feel very stressed especially if you aren't sure what exactly you’ll be learning in each subject, so, do your homework and find out more. Talk to your parents, teachers, friends for advice, and most importantly, consider your own interests!
[if !supportLists]2. [endif]IP boys, get rid of the “Due tomorrow, do tomorrow” mindset. IB life is hectic, with CASEETOKIA on top of your lessons and assignments (and CCAs!) Keep in mind that work (especially IAs, which count towards your final IB grade) will pile up if you keep asking for extensions- not to mention that your teachers won’t be very pleased with you.
[if !supportLists]3. [endif] “Ask and you shall receive.” If you are ever unsure about something or need help, be it with something simple or if you cannot cope, don’t be afraid to ask for help! Teachers, friends, seniors are all valuable sources of advice (especially since we understand what you’re experiencing).
[if !supportLists]4. [endif]Keep in mind that sleep is not for the weak. If you don’t get enough rest, you’ll become very stressed very easily and it is unpleasant to be constantly nodding off during lessons. So, make good use of your time, don’t procrastinate (too much)!
[if !supportLists]5. [endif]That being said, school/IB is not all about studying/work. Give yourself some chill time to hang out with your class, friends, and family; and relax and unwind.
[if !supportLists]6. [endif]Last of all, and most importantly, remember to enjoy yourself throughout these 2 years! Time flies by in IB, sometimes you have to take a step back and look to see what you’ve learnt, accomplished, and enjoyed.
